ABOUT
Based in the beautiful village of Blockley in the North Cotswolds, we are a small and friendly ladies choir who currently meet on Tuesday afternoons at the Little Village Hall in Blockley. We welcomed Esther Bersweden as our Musical Director in January 2025 and enjoy the benefits she brings to our singing.
Blockley Ladies Choir performs a wide variety of music avoiding the large scale choral works. We generally put on themed concerts during the year at local halls or churches using material drawn from a range of genres including musical theatre, popular, classical and folk song. The choir also performs with other local groups and sometimes performs informally for family and friends.
JOIN US
We are always happy to welcome new members. There are no auditions and being able to read music is not necessary. We just ask for a commitment to the choir and a love of singing. We sing in three parts: Soprano 1, Soprano 2 and Alto – and our Musical Director will guide you to the right part for your voice.
